Can Botox really help with Migraines?

Can Botox really help with Migraines?

In a statement released on October 15, 2010 the FDA approved Botox as one of the treatments used in preventative measures for Chronic Migraines.

Migraines strongly affect its victim’s lifestyles by preventing them from going about their regular routines.
The difference between Chronic Migraines and regular headaches is the general time that they last and how often they occur. Chronic Migraines occur on average 14 or more times in a month and last anywhere from 2-4 hours (In some cases longer).

Botox has been proven to be an effective alternative for migraine treatments because it is regularly injected around the head and neck around every 12 weeks.

Keep in mind that when Botox is used for these kinds of medicinal purposes it is used only for those with extreme cases (Chronic Migraines) and not for regular headaches.

If you are suffering from Chronic Migraines and would like to experience the results of a non oral treatment, then consult with your physician whether or not this is one of your possibilities.
